The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has unveiled a pioneering pilot program. This program grants electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) startups the opportunity to conduct trials of select operational activities ahead of securing complete regulatory approval. The initiative will encompass a minimum of five demonstration projects, marked by collaborative efforts between state and local governments as well as private entities. Its overarching goal is to foster the safe and efficient operation of eVTOLs.
