On September 12, TCL Technology made a public announcement stating that its subsidiary, TCL Huaxing, has forged a collaborative partnership with the Guangzhou Municipal Government and the Administrative Committee of the Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. Together, they will jointly embark on an investment venture to construct an 8.6th generation printed OLED display panel production line. The anticipated total investment for this ambitious project is projected to hit 29.5 billion yuan, with a registered capital base of 14.75 billion yuan. Out of this, TCL Huaxing will contribute a substantial 8.85 billion yuan. The project is slated for a construction period of 24 months, with expectations to commence operations in November 2025. This strategic initiative is designed to bolster China's standing as a frontrunner in the global new display industry and to accelerate the industrialization of high-generation printed OLED technology.
