Blogger Moore's Law is Dead previously disclosed that the Sony PS5 Pro console would incorporate AMD FSR4 technology next year, with an anticipated release in the first quarter. However, sources within AMD noted that, owing to factors like the PS5 Pro’s absence of FP8 support, existing games would necessitate updates. Subsequently, Sony clarified that the PS5 Pro does not utilize FSR4 but instead features a new iteration of PSSR technology developed in collaboration with AMD. This technology employs an algorithm identical to that of AMD FSR4 and will be implemented on the PS5 Pro next year. The PS5 Pro represents an enhanced version of this year’s PS5, boasting more robust hardware configurations, support for PSSR AI super-resolution technology, and is available exclusively in a digital edition.
