Data from Canalys reveals that in the first half of 2025, shipments of wearable wristband devices in mainland China soared to 33.9 million units, marking a substantial 36% year-on-year increase. This performance not only sustained the 33% growth momentum observed in the second half of 2024 but also set a new record for first-half shipments. Notably, the basic wristband segment emerged as the fastest-growing category, with an impressive 80% growth rate, playing a pivotal role in driving overall market expansion. Huawei took the lead, shipping 12 million units and securing a 36% market share. Xiaomi was a close second, with 11 million units shipped and a 32% market share. Both companies surpassed the 10-million-unit shipment milestone in the first half of the year for the first time.
