At present, Foxconn's Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone is in the midst of ramping up mass production for the iPhone 17 series. As the production scale steadily expands, the factory's demand for human resources continues to escalate. Besides returning workers, hourly-paid employees constitute another significant segment of temporary staffing. On September 5th, close to 2,000 dispatched workers gathered at the distribution site, awaiting their work assignments. Within the production workshop, nearly 200,000 workers adhere to a two-shift system, engaging in tasks such as screwing components, applying protective films, and assembling parts. Conveyor belts ceaselessly transport the freshly molded iPhone 17 units, which are then directed to the packaging workshop. There, they are carefully placed into white boxes adorned with the iconic Apple logo. Nevertheless, it's important to note that this current workforce size does not yet reflect the factory's peak employment capacity.
