Originally, Microsoft had set its sights on releasing the Windows 11 25H2 ISO image this week. However, the tech giant has now shifted the release status to 'Coming Soon', refraining from providing a specific timeframe for the delay.
It's worth noting that the 25H2 and 24H2 versions share the same service branch and boast identical update content. Microsoft has already extended invitations to members of the Release Preview channel to carry out testing. This particular update is solely focused on bug fixes and stability enhancements, with no new features being introduced.
It is anticipated that the update will be made available to all users in the upcoming weeks. The upgrade process will take the form of an enablement package, which only necessitates a single restart. Moreover, it won't have any impact on the compatibility of applications and games, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted upgrade experience.
Furthermore, the 25H2 version will bid farewell to two outdated components: PowerShell 2.0 and WMIC.
