On August 4, 2025, China triumphantly propelled the LEO 07 group of satellites for the satellite internet into orbit using the Long March 12 carrier rocket. This historic launch underscored the Hainan Commercial Aerospace Launch Site's capability to operate at high frequency from its dual positions, affirming its robust and reliable launch capabilities. Since its construction commenced in June 2022, the launch site has set a new benchmark for the construction speed of a medium-sized liquid rocket launch facility. It successfully executed its maiden launches from Positions 1 and 2 in late 2024 and March 2025, respectively. Furthermore, in January 2025, the Phase II project of the Hainan Commercial Aerospace Launch Site was launched, aiming to construct new Launch Positions 3 and 4, each with an anticipated annual launch capacity of 16 rockets. Hainan Province is steadfast in fostering the entire commercial aerospace industry chain and fostering the growth of the aerospace industry cluster in Wenchang International Aerospace City, with an ambitious goal of achieving an operating revenue of 10 billion yuan by 2027.
