Zhongheng Group has proudly announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Zhongheng Innovation, has invested a sum of RMB 55 million to acquire a groundbreaking drug technology (patent) aimed at treating chronic heart failure. This acquisition was facilitated through a public transfer listing on the Shanghai Technology Exchange, with the technology originating from the esteemed China Rongtong Academy of Sciences. The drug technology, which traces its roots to the Naval Medical University of the People's Liberation Army, represents a novel target compound capable of significantly enhancing myocardial energy metabolism. Currently in the preclinical research phase, this innovation holds promise for advancing treatment options for chronic heart failure patients.

Zhongheng Innovation will undertake the transfer fee in a series of installments and will shoulder the responsibility of conducting preclinical pharmacokinetic studies and other essential tasks. It is important to note, however, that the drug development journey is fraught with uncertainties, including the progression and outcomes of clinical trials, as well as the competitive landscape in the future market.
