Hong Kong Transport Department Enhances Appointment System for Hong Kong Vehicles Traveling Northbound

The Governments of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) and Guangdong Province have collaborated to streamline the appointment process for Hong Kong vehicles traveling northward. Effective September 1, 2025, eligible Hong Kong vehicles will enjoy the convenience of directly crossing the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge into Guangdong on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, eliminating the need for prior appointments on these days. Nonetheless, it's important to note that appointments will still be necessary on specific dates, including Hong Kong and mainland public holidays, their eves, and days when bridge tolls are waived.
