In a company-wide email today, TikTok CEO Shouzi Zhou announced a significant internal restructuring aimed at bolstering ecosystem security. The core product team and the trust & safety product team will merge to create a new platform responsibility team. This strategic move underscores TikTok's commitment to enhancing its security framework. The newly formed team will be headed by Adam Wang, previously the director of live streaming, and will report directly to Zhi Ying, head of product operations.

Additionally, Zi Jingxin has been appointed as the new leader of the live streaming division. Jingxin brings extensive experience from her previous roles overseeing TikTok's e-commerce business in Southeast Asia, cross-border operations, and strategic planning. She will also report to Zhi Ying. This adjustment underscores TikTok's ambition to fortify both its ecosystem security and business coordination capabilities.
