On August 1, Jiang Yi, Director of the Policy Research Office at the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), disclosed at a press conference that the first batch of national-level zero-carbon industrial parks will soon be unveiled. These parks will be selected based on local recommendations, considering factors such as industrial representativeness, comprehensive demonstration capabilities, and carbon reduction potential. In addition to this announcement, the NDRC will provide active support in policy experimentation, institutional mechanism innovation, and major project construction. Jiang emphasized that the development of zero-carbon industrial parks is a long-term and systematic endeavor characterized by significant innovation and high challenges, transcending mere designation or listing. The aim is not to create a 'policy enclave' but to foster a 'green transformation hub'.
