In line with the 'Heartwarming Information and Communication Service Initiative' and in response to user complaints about false advertising and induced consumption in telecommunications telemarketing, the three major telecommunications enterprises—China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom—have jointly announced measures to regulate telemarketing and have unified their official outbound marketing numbers. Effective immediately, China Telecom's official marketing number is 10001, China Mobile's is 10085, and China Unicom's is 10016. Users are advised to exercise caution when receiving telemarketing calls from any numbers other than these official ones, especially if the calls are promoting SIM cards or packages.
