Shanghai Nova Fusion has recently announced the successful completion of its angel round of financing, securing over 500 million yuan. This round was led by several prominent funds, including the National Council for Social Security Fund, Zhongguancun Independent Innovation Special Fund, and Legend Capital. The raised funds will be dedicated to the research and development of China's pioneering small modular nuclear fusion reactor. Nova Fusion specializes in FRC-SMR technology, aiming to achieve an ion fusion temperature of 100 million degrees in the near term, attain a fusion energy gain of Q＞1 in the medium term, and ultimately commercialize modular fusion power stations by 2035.
