To foster innovation in pharmaceuticals and medical devices, the National Healthcare Security Administration has implemented a novel first-sale pricing mechanism for newly launched products and incorporated over 100 price entries pertaining to cutting-edge medical technologies. By establishing seamless billing pathways from project inception to pricing, the Administration aims to expedite the return on investment for urgently needed clinical technologies and products. To date, more than 100 price entries encompassing novel products and equipment have been incorporated into the 30 batches of project initiation guidelines released, fostering a synergistic approach where price initiation and technological advancement proceed in tandem. Notably, the guidelines for neurological systems specifically include entries such as "Brain-Computer Interface Implantation Fee" and "Brain-Computer Interface Adaptation Fee," indicating that once this technology matures and secures clinical approval, it can swiftly transition into clinical application and initiate billing.
