On July 25, 2025, the China Photovoltaic Industry Association convened a seminar in Datong, Shanxi province, revising upwards its forecast for new photovoltaic (PV) installed capacity both globally and domestically by 2025. The global forecast has been elevated from 531-583GW to 570-630GW, while China's forecast has seen a notable increase, from 215-255GW to 270-300GW.
