On July 20, Qinhuangdao witnessed the delivery of the "Senhai Pioneer," the world's first 80,000-tonne offshore aquaculture vessel. The vessel has received full classification certification from the China Classification Society. Refitted and constructed by Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Company, a subsidiary of CSSC's Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, the "Senhai Pioneer" boasts a total length of 224.9 meters and seven large aquaculture cabins. Designed to withstand winds and waves up to force 17, the vessel has a lifespan exceeding 20 years. This delivery signifies a pivotal breakthrough in China's advancement of intelligent and large-scale offshore aquaculture equipment.
