Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive Lee Ka-chiu remarked that the city has undertaken several listing system reforms in recent years, fostering a thriving new share market. By mid-July of this year, 52 companies had successfully completed their IPOs, raising a collective HK$124 billion. This represents a 30% increase in the number of IPOs and a remarkable 590% surge in funds raised, positioning Hong Kong at the top globally for IPO fundraising. Additionally, the Hang Seng Index has seen a year-on-year growth of 25.3%. Lee Ka-chiu underscored that Hong Kong will persist in refining its listing system, enhancing market liquidity, attracting more high-quality enterprises to list locally, and fortifying its status as a leading international financial center.
