On July 14, 2025, Beijing played host to the Second High-Level Policy Dialogue on Circular Economy between China and the European Union. During the event, the two sides engaged in thorough discussions encompassing sustainable product design, the integration of recycled materials, and advancements in plastic recycling. Looking ahead, within the confines of the signed memorandum, both parties are committed to reinforcing policy harmonization, broadening the scope of their collaboration, fostering technical exchanges, and enhancing project investment and financing cooperation. Furthermore, they will work towards updating the circular economy roadmap, delineating the cooperation objectives for the upcoming phase, and collectively contributing to global environmental and climate governance efforts.
