The Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology has unveiled the "Chongqing Work Plan for Cultivating the New Energy Vehicle Power Battery Recycling and Utilization Industry (2025-2027)", setting a goal to establish and refine the power battery recycling and utilization industry framework by 2027. The plan aims to optimize the industrial ecosystem and forge a pioneering recycling and utilization hub in Western China. Key objectives include achieving a 90% coverage rate of the recycling network across districts and counties, nurturing several compliant recycling enterprises, establishing over two industrial agglomeration bases, enhancing the recycling rate of metal resources, and fostering the widespread adoption of key common technologies.
