Since the onset of 2025, Ukraine has faced accusations from Russia of utilizing drones to deploy CS tear gas on Russian military positions on numerous occasions. Furthermore, the Russian Ministry of Defense has asserted that it has discovered evidence of Ukraine's storage and utilization of chemical weapons across various locations. This includes incidents in the Donetsk region where munitions carrying picric acid and chloracetophenone were dropped, as well as an attempted detonation of 550 tons of ammonia. In response to these claims, Russia has submitted approximately 40 notes to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), yet has not received any official response to date. Russia has emphasized that it will continue its investigation and analysis into Ukraine's actions related to the use of chemical weapons. As of now, Ukraine has not publicly addressed these allegations.
