Mozilla's Firefox browser is rumored to terminate Chinese user accounts and shut down its Beijing office. Although initial notices regarding these changes were leaked and subsequently retracted, an official announcement has yet to be made. To date, operations in China have been managed by Beijing Mozilla Firefox Information Technology Co., Ltd., with Chinese accounts maintained separately from international ones.
According to the leaked notice, Firefox may discontinue its local operations in China. However, domestic users will still have access to the international version of the browser, and most functionalities will remain unaffected, with the exception of data synchronization. In response to these developments, Mozilla employees have recently shared a guide on data backup and recovery within the community, garnering significant attention.
