In a conference call discussing financial reports on Tuesday, Citigroup's Chief Executive Officer, Jane Fraser, disclosed that the bank is contemplating the issuance of its own stablecoin with the objective of boosting digital payments. Fraser highlighted that the realm of tokenized deposits represents a pivotal area of interest for Citigroup, which holds a favorable view towards it and views it as a promising venture.
