The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) has recently mandated its member securities firms to enhance investor suitability management for the Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR Market) and to undertake the necessary technical preparations. Concurrently, the SSE has officially released the market interface and technical guidelines for the STAR Market to all market participants. Securities firms are required to establish an investor suitability management system tailored to the STAR Market in compliance with SSE regulations, and to rigorously uphold their customer management obligations. Furthermore, securities firms must promptly complete technical system preparations, including the execution of risk disclosure documents and the provision of risk warnings specific to the STAR Market. Upon the activation of these systems, firms must provide feedback to the SSE regarding their readiness status.
