In 2025, Xinjiang's summer grain yield per mu (a Chinese unit of area approximately equal to 0.067 hectares) soared to 411.5 kilograms, marking an impressive increase of 11.1 kilograms compared to the previous year. This marks the third consecutive year that Xinjiang has seen an increment exceeding 10 kilograms per mu, significantly outpacing the national average yield per unit area by 35.9 kilograms. This achievement places Xinjiang at the top of the country in terms of yield increment. Furthermore, due to the delayed maturity of spring wheat in certain regions, it is anticipated that the total output will reach 6.84 million tons.
