On July 11, Recruit Holdings, the Japanese conglomerate behind Indeed and Glassdoor, disclosed that its human resources technology arm, which manages these two prominent platforms, will reduce its workforce by approximately 1,300 employees. This reduction represents roughly 6% of the division's total staff as of April 1, 2025. This restructuring is part of Recruit Holdings' broader strategy to streamline operations and pivot towards artificial intelligence. However, the company affirmed that its consolidated financial projections for fiscal year 2025 will remain unaffected. Indeed serves as a vast job search engine, enabling users to explore job listings, whereas Glassdoor provides a platform for users to anonymously review companies and access salary insights.
