Meta has inked several agreements this week to augment its energy portfolio by adding more than 1 gigawatt of new renewable generation capacity. On Thursday, the social media giant announced the acquisition of 791 megawatts of solar and wind energy projects located in Ohio, Arkansas, and Texas from Invenergy. Furthermore, Meta disclosed on Wednesday that it would procure environmental attributes from Adapture Renewables for 360 megawatts of electricity generated by two solar farms in Texas.
