On the 26th, the Civil Aviation Administration issued a notice stating that, effective June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks on domestic flights that lack 3C marks, have unclear 3C marks, or have been recalled. The 3C Certification (China Compulsory Certification) has been mandatory for products such as lithium-ion batteries and portable power banks since August 1, 2023. Starting from August 1, 2024, uncertified products will be banned from production, sale, or import. Notably, many airports have already adopted this regulation ahead of schedule.
