In the years 2025 to 2026, China and New Zealand will elevate the mutual recognition of organic product certification through the implementation of the Cooperation Plan for Organic Product Certification. This initiative is designed to expedite the certification process for businesses, minimize costs, and foster the growth of the organic industry as well as trade efficiency between the two nations. China primarily exports organic products like coffee and frozen vegetables to New Zealand, whereas New Zealand exports organic dairy products, meat, and fruits to China. Both parties intend to engage in technical consultations, share standards and regulations, and conduct on-site visits to cater to the demand of Chinese consumers for premium organic food.
