The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has issued an urgent notice today, specifying that, starting June 28, passengers are strictly prohibited from carrying power banks on domestic flights that lack a 3C marking, feature unclear 3C markings, or have been recalled. This year has witnessed numerous incidents of fire and smoke caused by passengers' power banks and other lithium battery products on airplanes. Coupled with recent reports of spontaneous combustion involving brands like Romoss, the underlying safety and quality concerns regarding power banks have escalated. Consequently, the CAAC has implemented stringent control measures to uphold the safety of aviation operations.
