He emphasized that the adoption of robots in household settings faces significant hurdles and necessitates a steady, incremental advancement, in contrast to the more rapid progress seen in industrial and agricultural applications. Wang Xingxing cited an incident where a Unitree robot, purchased by a customer, inadvertently stepped on and removed a young girl's shoe during an event. While no harm was inflicted, the potential safety risks were evident. He underscored that for robots designed to interact closely with humans, safety concerns outweigh technical challenges, and ethical considerations pose an even greater dilemma.
