Shantou Chenghai stands as China's preeminent toy production hub, contributing approximately one-third of the world's plastic toy manufacturing capacity. In 2024, the region's toy exports surged to an impressive 10.24 billion yuan. Amidst the recent peak order season for overseas Christmas celebrations, Chenghai's toy enterprises are operating at full capacity. Despite an initial surge in shipping prices for routes to the United States compared to the start of the year, these prices have since declined. Simultaneously, freight rates to Europe and South America have also generally increased. Nevertheless, these fluctuations have failed to deter foreign buyers' enthusiasm for sourcing toys from China. On the whole, this year's procurement volume from foreign buyers has remained stable, even showing a slight uptick.
