China's pioneering electric manned airship, the AS700D, is ramping up its test flights with an anticipated delivery in September. This eco-friendly and whisper-quiet marvel has garnered immense market enthusiasm. Jingmen Special Aircraft Institute has secured orders for 186 airships, set for delivery over the next half-decade. The AS700D, an electric upgrade of the AS700, is lithium-ion battery-powered, capable of reaching speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour, soaring to a maximum altitude of 3,100 meters, and accommodating up to 10 passengers.
