Microsoft has officially announced that system restore points in Windows 11 will be automatically deleted after 60 days. To safeguard data integrity, users are advised to create restore points manually on a regular basis. In the default configuration of the Windows 11 24H2 update, system restore points are set to be retained for 60 days. Upon expiration of this period, the system will automatically remove the oldest restore point. Consequently, users are encouraged to manage their restore points diligently to avoid potential data loss.
