During the first five months of this year, the cumulative declines in both national fiscal revenue and tax revenue have shown signs of improvement. According to data released by the Ministry of Finance, national general public budget revenue amounted to 9.6623 trillion yuan, experiencing a marginal year-on-year decrease of 0.3%, with the rate of decline narrowing compared to previous periods. Similarly, tax revenue totaled 7.9156 trillion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.6%, which also marked a shrinking decline. Among the various tax categories, domestic value-added tax, consumption tax, and personal income tax witnessed increases. Conversely, value-added tax and consumption tax on imported goods, tariffs, and corporate income tax recorded declines.
