On June 20, the "COSCO Shipping Yangpu," China's first locally constructed 16,000 TEU methanol dual-fuel container ship, was delivered on Changxing Island in Shanghai. This milestone signifies three groundbreaking achievements in the development of large methanol dual-fuel container vessels: "the first order placed by a domestic shipping company, the first delivery from a domestic shipyard, and the inaugural on-board application of a domestically produced methanol main engine." The ship boasts a length of 366 meters, a maximum container capacity of 16,136 TEU, and the capability to sustain a one-way journey from the Far East to the East Coast of the United States.
