At the Second China-Central Asia Summit, the Ministry of Commerce inked numerous agreements with Central Asian nations to fortify economic and trade ties. Moving forward, the Ministry aims to elevate the quality and upgrade trade cooperation by actively expanding imports of energy resources, minerals, and premium agricultural products from Central Asia, while simultaneously fostering exports of automobiles, home appliances, and communications equipment. Furthermore, it will vigorously develop service trade and cross-border e-commerce. To ensure the stability and seamless operation of supply chains, the Ministry will deepen the integration of production and supply chains, expanding cooperation in burgeoning sectors such as electric vehicles, biomedicine, new energy, and the digital economy.

On the institutional front, the Ministry of Commerce will establish high-level economic and trade institutional frameworks, implement newly concluded investment agreements with Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, expedite negotiations on service trade and investment agreements with Kyrgyzstan, and support Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in their bids to join the World Trade Organization. These efforts will collectively uphold the multilateral trading system centered around the World Trade Organization.
