In response, Xiamen Airlines' customer service clarified that while electronic cigarettes are permitted to be carried on board, vaping is strictly prohibited. The airline stated that it was unaware of the incident and pledged to report it to the relevant authorities. The Civil Aviation Administration of China emphasizes that the use of e-cigarettes throughout the entire flight is strictly forbidden due to safety risks, as they have the potential to activate smoke alarm systems and jeopardize flight safety.
