The open beta for WeChat on HarmonyOS for PC is now live, enabling users to download it directly via 'App Fresh Experience'. This iteration, version 4.0.1.30 (262430), boasts support for essential features like audio and video calls, mini-programs, individual and group chats, Moments browsing and posting, content favoriting, note-taking, official account article reading, video account content browsing, and a search function. Prior to this, the version underwent rigorous internal beta testing, confirming its adoption of cutting-edge cross-platform development technology. Last year, Huawei announced that the top 5000 applications had embarked on native development for HarmonyOS, with WeChat, QQ, Alipay, and other nationally prominent apps already having released their HarmonyOS versions.
