On June 18, according to a report by the Financial Times, the European Union accused the Chinese cross-border e-commerce platform AliExpress of breaching the Digital Services Act by leveraging its regulatory powers over internet enterprises. The European Commission emphasized that AliExpress had not implemented effective measures to prevent the spread of illegal content and had failed to penalize merchants who repeatedly violated regulations. In response, AliExpress affirmed its continued cooperation with the EU and commitment to adhering to European regulations.
