As of the end of May, Gansu Province boasted a total installed capacity of new energy power generation amounting to 70.6246 million kilowatts, marking a year-on-year increase of 25.25%. This figure represents 65.81% of the province's overall installed capacity. Wind power and solar power contributed 32.56% and 32.96%, respectively, to this mix. From January to May, new energy sources generated 39.565 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, constituting approximately 40% of the province's total power output. State Grid Gansu Electric Power has been an active catalyst for the Longdong-Zhongyuan Power Transmission Project, with the Qishan-Shaoguan DC transmission line having transmitted over 200 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. The province's power transmission volume witnessed a year-on-year growth of 33.45%. Since the inception of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Gansu has seen a newly grid-connected new energy installed capacity of 46.9351 million kilowatts, which is nine times the amount achieved during the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
