In Beijing, Meituan convened an Algorithm Advisory Board symposium, aimed at enhancing algorithm transparency and prioritizing the rights of delivery riders alongside the sustainable growth of the industry. Since the dawn of 2024, Meituan has rolled out eight significant algorithm improvements and established the Algorithm Advisory Board. During the symposium, experts emphasized the need for algorithms to be contextually adapted, offering personalized services, initiating special public welfare initiatives, and ensuring safety protocols for female riders.
Meituan has committed to the ongoing refinement of its algorithms, striking a balance between various stakeholder interests while enhancing riders' experiences and earnings. Steps such as introducing fatigue prevention alerts and implementing point-based rewards have already been put into practice.
