The International Meridian Circle Program (IMCP), spearheaded by the National Space Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, endeavors to construct a comprehensive global monitoring network for the Sun-Earth system. This initiative aims to unravel the processes and laws governing space weather. To date, the program has forged partnerships with 36 international organizations and scientific research institutions, integrating an extensive network of over a thousand devices. Over the next 11 years, it is anticipated that the IMCP will complete the detection and study of at least one complete solar activity cycle. This ambitious project seeks to drive theoretical innovations and technological advancements in the realm of space weather, ultimately bolstering global resilience against space weather disasters.
