Recently, tech support scams aimed at middle-aged and elderly individuals have become increasingly prevalent. These scam centers utilize phishing websites to lure their targets, alarming middle-aged and elderly people by falsely claiming that their computers have encountered malfunctions and require contact with the Microsoft technical support center for repairs. Once victims make the call, they are redirected to illegal call centers based in India, where they are pressured to pay for technical support services under various pretenses or threatened with the potential unusability of their computers if they do not comply. These scams have significantly compromised the property safety of middle-aged and elderly individuals.
