Blue Origin has announced a postponement of the second launch of its New Glenn rocket, shifting the date from the initially planned late spring to August 15. During the inaugural launch, while the rocket's upper stage successfully achieved orbit, efforts to recover the booster fell short. In response, the company has pinpointed seven areas requiring enhancement and aims to produce eight GS2 boosters this year. The upcoming second launch will persist in its attempt to successfully recover the booster. Since its inception in 2016, the New Glenn rocket has faced several delays, amidst the rapid advancements of competitor SpaceX's Starship project.
