To address the issue of educational involution, the university has introduced an innovative eight-year program that seamlessly integrates undergraduate, master's, and doctoral education, aiming to empower students to earn their doctoral degrees by the age of 26. Wang Shuguo, who previously held the presidency at both the Harbin Institute of Technology and Xi'an Jiaotong University, has assumed his role at Fuyao University of Science and Technology on a voluntary basis, with aspirations to gradually increase future enrollment to between 800 and 1,000 students.
