China has achieved a significant milestone with the successful production of its first domestically developed ultra-large diameter shaft boring machine, dubbed 'Ergong Shudun No.1', at CCCC Tianhe. This technological feat brings China's capabilities in this field to an international advanced level. Weighing in at 160 tons and boasting a power output of 1600 kilowatts, the machine boasts a maximum excavation depth of 100 meters and the ability to adjust its diameter intelligently during excavation. When compared to conventional methods, 'Ergong Shudun No.1' offers substantial advantages, reducing costs by over 50%, increasing tunneling speed by a factor of five, and ensuring efficiency, safety, and environmental friendliness across various geological conditions. Notably, this cutting-edge machine will make its debut in the construction of shield tunnels for conventional energy projects.
