The State Administration for Market Regulation has recently published the 2024 Annual Report on China's Anti-Monopoly Law Enforcement, highlighting several key achievements and future directions. During the year, a total of 11 cases involving monopoly agreements and abuse of market dominance were successfully concluded. Furthermore, 643 cases related to operator concentration were meticulously reviewed and finalized. The report also noted that 72 cases of administrative power abuse aimed at eliminating or restricting competition were filed for thorough investigation and handling. In addition to these enforcement actions, the report emphasized the need for the State Council to promulgate the Regulations on Fair Competition Review. This underscores the commitment to deepening international cooperation in anti-monopoly efforts, enhancing competition advocacy, and actively fostering a market environment that is both fairer and more dynamic for all business entities. These measures are aimed at promoting high-quality economic development, in line with global best practices and the evolving needs of China's market.
