By the end of April 2025, China's installed capacity for renewable energy power generation had reached 2.017 billion kilowatts, marking a year-on-year increase of 58%. Notably, the combined installed capacity of wind power, photovoltaics, and nuclear power totaled 1.53 billion kilowatts, surpassing thermal power for the first time in history. This milestone data was announced by Song Hongkun, Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration.
