StellarJet, a Texas-based pioneer in hydrogen-powered aviation, unveiled two cutting-edge technologies on Tuesday: a state-of-the-art solid-state hydrogen storage unit and a next-generation Electric Ducted Fan (EDF) propulsion system. The announcements, made on the eve of the 2025 Paris Air Show, solidify StellarJet's position as a leader in the zero-emission aviation sector, catering to the burgeoning global demand for sustainable air travel. The solid-state hydrogen storage unit leverages metal hydride technology to achieve impressive gravimetric hydrogen storage density and energy density, facilitating rapid refueling and eliminating evaporation loss. Meanwhile, the EDF propulsion system boasts exceptional power, substantial thrust, and lightweight design. Both innovations will be integrated into StellarJet's hydrogen-powered demonstrator aircraft, which is set to take its maiden flight this summer.
