Charles Tremblay, the Vice President of Technology at CDPR, disclosed that the development of the Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 commenced in 2023, conducted discreetly by CDPR's in-house team. Throughout the development phase, the team navigated challenges posed by the architectural differences between the Switch 2 and the game's original platform. By harnessing NVIDIA's DLSS technology and capitalizing on the Switch 2's high-speed storage and RAM capabilities, they achieved a remarkable performance: 1080P resolution at 30 FPS in Quality Mode or 40 FPS in Performance Mode when docked, and 720P at 40 FPS in Performance Mode or 1080P at 30 FPS in Quality Mode in handheld mode.
